I had a couple websites I wanted to share. The first is a fundraiser that our missions team is participating in. It's called One Thousand for One Thousand. Basically, there is going to be a conference in India for pastors from India. The conference cost is $20 for 3 days for each pastor!! Incredible. That $20 covers all expenses! They are wanting to bless these pastors who are so persecuted. One cool thing is one of the speakers at the conference is from out church. He is so looking forward to it! There is a link to Cornerstone's website to donate any amount. You do have to create an account to do it that way, but you can also send it to the Cornerstone by mail if you'd like. Let me know if you are interested and I'll give you the address.

The second one is a "trailer" for a new series we started yesterday at church. We have a FABULOUS Creative Arts department that put this together on no budget. It is really amazing.

My parents got him this walker thing for Tynan a couple weeks ago when they were here. We didn't really expect him to use it so soon. This is not even as good as he's done today! He was distracted by the camera.

It's been a rough month in the Swift household. Brian has been super busy with work stuff and both Tynan and I keep getting sick. It's been exhausting and no fun at all. We seem to be coming out of it for now. My cough is just about gone, and Tynan's is a little better. He must not feel as bad because he's starting to get rid of the grumpy's and playing on his own a bit more. And he's sleeping a bit better. He only woke up 3 times last night, which sounds like a lot but is way better than it's been while he's been sick. Poor kid was waking himself up coughing all night. A few nights ago, he had woken up 5 times by midnight. UGH! Exhausting for all of us. He was so made that he was awake.
I got this video a couple weeks ago when I was sick, so you'll have to excuse the mess in the background. I was letting him play with anything and everything just so I could get some rest. I wanted to try to get his face while him and Chica were playing, but I was worried he would get distracted and stop doing it. The laughing is just so funny. Just as I grabbed the camera, they had just finished playing tug-a-war with a toy. I know the dog sounds a little like she's growling, but really, she's playing.
My parents were here for a couple days, but got a sick baby instead of a well one. He's a pretty good sport, but felt pretty bad. The funniest thing is, no matter how awful he feels, he still smiles for the camera. Such a ham! Here's a few of the newest pictures.

Finally got a video of Tynan crawling. I've been trying all week. But every time he see's me with the camera, he gets distracted. Tonight I was determined so I tried over and over and over. Finally got it. I also got another one of those videos with him screaming. It just makes me laugh. And I'm glad he can do it again. The whole time he was sick, he didn't really "talk" much because he would get winded easily and I think it hurt his little throat. So I take this kind of screaming over the crying kind. Finally, I got a picture of Tynan's little teeth. *Sigh*-He seems to have my big front teeth. Oh well he'll grow into them. He's gotten four teeth in the last week and a half or so. The 2 top middle and the 2 on either side of those. The funny thing is, one of the middle and one of the incisors are about half way in, and the other middle one and the other incisor are only just poking through. And it's every other tooth. He sort of looks like a jack o' lantern. I just had to share the picture.

I'm sick and so is Tynan. No fun at all. I went to the doctor on Tuesday and have strep throat. Tynan seems to just have a cold, although the cough is kinda bad. Seems to be a little better then yesterday, though. He's also getting 3 top teeth. Between teething and the cold, he's been oh so much fun! NOT! I'm still not haveing much energy. I folded some laundry and then had to lay down. Hate that. I decided not to go into the church tomorrow, which is so hard for me to do. The doctor said that I wasn't contagious anymore, but I'm still coughing and getting tired.
I have grabbed the camera a couple times over the past week and gotten some fun little things. This was last week at Faith & Family night at the Diamondbacks game. We got to take Tynan to his first Diamondback game, then they had fireworks after, and then a couple of the players gave a brief testimony and then there was a MercyMe concert. A lot of "firsts" for Ty. He did pretty well. Fell asleep during the 8th, and woke up right before the fireworks started. He wasn't scared of them, but he wasn't all excited either. I think he was still half asleep. He did really enjoy the concert.
Tynan is still not real into baby food, so we've started introducing "real" food a little. He wants to do it himself. I'm not sure how old kids are when they are "supposed" to start picking up small things, but this was the first day I let him try, so I was impressed that he did it. Out of the 10 or so puffs that I gave him, he only lost 2.
He's still not really crawling, but he does this roll, sit up, rotate thing. It's a little odd. It does get him around and he has started trying to push buttons on the DVR, and get wonderful things like dog toys, and the cord for the lamps. Oh, so much fun!! He also has been wanting to stand. I go to put him down on his bottom, and he straightens all out and tries to get me to stand him up. He thinks it's hilarious when I hold onto his arms and put his feet on mine and take a few steps. He's also tried to pull himself up onto a few things, as well as stand up by himself. He can't do it, but he tries to push his butt up into the air. I think it looks like a yoga or pilates pose. Funny!
I'm going to get to bed now. Pray for a good nights sleep for all of us. Here's a funny little video of him "throwing" the ball to the dogs.
